Projects and users management (company level)

Understand the organization's project and user structure

Testim provides an organization structure, where a company comprises a list of projects and a list of users. In this article, we will explain how to manage these lists.

View Project Library

To view the Project Library:

  1. Click on your user avatar.
  2. Click the Team hyperlink.

The last project in the list is a usage examples project, a read only project, which is used throughout the docs to help new users learn how to use Testim.

View Company Teammates

To view company teammates:

  1. Click on your user avatar.
  2. Click the Team hyperlink.

Adding Company Teammates

Anyone can invite other company users, but it is only possible to grant them access to the projects that they have access to.

To add a user:

  1. In the Team screen, click + Teammate.
  2. Enter the user's email address into the field. You can enter multiple email addresses.

  1. Select the projects these users will have access to by clicking the + button next to the project name.
  2. Click Invite.
    The user(s) will receive an email inviting them to activating their account.

Removing Company Teammates

To remove company teammates:

  1. Select one or more teammates you wish to remove. Use CTRL/CMD + click to select more than one teammate.
  2. Click the Delete User button. Alternatively you can right click the selected teammates and select "Delete users".

The selected teammates will be removed from the company.

Read only users

If you want to add read-only users, please contact your Testim sales representative.
Please notice that such users are only blocked from saving tests in the UI.

Changing/Adding Company Owner and Project Owners

A company owner can assign/remove other users as company owners. There can be multiple owners for a company. Current company owners can also remove ownership, but there must be at least one company owner, as a result, the last owner cannot be removed as an owner or be deleted.

To assign a user as a company owner:

  1. Check that you are logged in as a company owner.
  2. In the Team screen, right-click on the user that is not a company owner and select Add company owner.

If you are a member of multiple companies you can use the dropdown shown when hovering on the company logo (top left corner) to navigate between companies.

Navigating Between Projects
You can switch to a different project at any time.

To switch the active project:

  1. Click the project drop-down menu in the header bar.
  2. Select a project from the list.
